February 2015

It’s been a busy and exciting month!

I was named as one of the six finalists for the Lee & Low/Tu Books New Visions Award contest, for my middle-grade novel, Eco-Agent Owen Chang: The Missing Murder. Keep your fingers crossed for me — the winner will be announced in April!

Then, I got a literary agent! I’m now being represented by Erin Murphy of the Erin Murphy Literary Agency. Hooray! I was so excited to be working with Erin that I went out and cleared the snow off the driveway with the snowblower. Good thing I had so much energy to burn off, because there was a lot of snow!

Here’s a short video of my dog, Mochi, playing in the snow with her friend Ginger, who lives across the street. Mochi is the dark brown one.
